Last updated: 20 October 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what personal data Iten Engineering collects when you use the website www.iten.rs or contact us, why we collect it, and what rights you have. We process personal data in accordance with the Law on Personal Data Protection of the Republic of Serbia (“Official Gazette of RS”, No. 87/2018) and, where it applies, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Iten Engineering is the controller of the personal data described in this policy. For any question about your data, write to office@iten.rs.
2. What data we collect and why
Project inquiry form
When you send an inquiry through the form on our website, we receive your full name, business email address, company or organization and the information you write about your project and how we can help. The form is delivered to us as an email to office@iten.rs.
We use this data only to reply to your inquiry and, if you wish, to prepare an offer or start working together. The legal basis is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, and our legitimate interest in answering business inquiries.
Emails you send us
If you write to us directly (for example office@iten.rs or careers@iten.rs), we process your email address and whatever you include in the message, such as a CV with a job application, for the purpose of handling your message.
Technical data (server logs)
Like every website, our web server automatically records technical information about each request: IP address, date and time, the page requested, the browser and device type, and the referring page. This is needed to deliver the website and keep it secure, and is based on our legitimate interest. We do not use it to identify visitors.
Theme preference
If you switch between the light and dark theme, your choice is saved in your browser’s local storage (under the name iten_theme) so the website remembers it. This information stays on your device and is never sent to us. You can delete it at any time by clearing your browser’s site data.
No tracking
Our website does not use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies, and does not build visitor profiles.
3. Third-party services
- Google Maps – our Contact page shows an embedded Google map. When the map is displayed, your browser connects to Google, which receives your IP address and may set its own cookies. This is governed by Google’s Privacy Policy.
- LinkedIn and Instagram – our website only links to our profiles. No data is shared with these networks unless you follow the link; after that, their own privacy policies apply.
4. Who receives your data
We do not sell or rent personal data. Data is accessed only by our staff who need it to answer you, and by service providers that process it on our behalf:
- our hosting provider, which runs the website and the form, and
- our email provider, through which we receive and answer messages.
Where data is processed outside the Republic of Serbia, this is done in countries considered to provide an adequate level of protection or under appropriate safeguards provided by law, such as standard contractual clauses.
5. How long we keep data
- Inquiries and emails – for as long as needed to handle your request and any cooperation that follows, and no longer than 24 months after our last contact, unless a longer period is required by law (for example accounting rules once a contract is signed).
- Server logs – for a limited period necessary for security and troubleshooting, after which they are deleted by the hosting provider.
6. Your rights
You have the right to:
- access the personal data we hold about you and receive a copy,
- have inaccurate data corrected and incomplete data completed,
- have your data deleted,
- restrict the processing of your data,
- receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format (data portability),
- object to processing based on our legitimate interest, and
- withdraw your consent at any time where processing is based on consent, without affecting processing carried out before the withdrawal.
To use any of these rights, email office@iten.rs. We will reply without undue delay and at the latest within 30 days.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority in Serbia: the Commissioner for Information of Public Importance and Personal Data Protection, Bulevar kralja Aleksandra 15, 11120 Belgrade, www.poverenik.rs. If you live in the European Union, you can also contact the data protection authority in your country.
7. Security
The website is served only over an encrypted HTTPS connection, and access to submitted data is limited to the people who need it. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, but we take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when our website or our processing changes. The current version is always published on this page, with the date of the last update shown at the top.
